It is sad but true that every relationship has an expiry date. Many a times we are parted with the people we love because of death, misunderstandings or even because the person we love does not remain in our touch. At such times our heart aches. I had a misunderstanding with a friend whom I valued a lot. He is the person who has really stood by me like a rock in hard times. I  really respect him and adore him a lot. Even he has some drawbacks, but still I love him. He is a person who has got all the things easily because of his father’s position. Yes, he is even a hypocrite who loves to pamper his ego. He had lot of girl friends, about whom he used to discuss with me in initial days of our friendship. But when he noticed that I condemned his actions he never spoke to me on that topic thereafter. He stood by me in my hard times, when my parents refused to help me out. Although it is right that he had all the resources at his disposal, but then too he indeed had a heart of gold and generosity. I never accepted any of the monetary help he offered to me. But his mere words of commensuration were enough for me. I used to get suicidal thoughts those days. If my cell phone was switched off or I did not pick his call, he used to call up my neighbours, asking them to see how I was. Indeed, had he not been there I would committed suicide long ago. I really owe my every breath to him. As I have said earlier he was bit egoistic and always wanted things to be done his way. Once I told about his egoistic nature to the girl whom I was dating. I also told her  how he has been bestowed with money and position owing to his father She had not liked my friend, but she valued her for the simple reason that I loved him. Eventually our relationship did not work up. My friend helped my ex girl friend to overcome the trauma of break up. At that time both of them were quite close. She told him how I thought he was egoistic and how he owed everything to his father. He took it in the wrong sense and severed all ties with me. I called him time and again. Met him once or twice. But his response was cold and dry. I tried my level best to patch up, but in vain. Finally I came to the conclusion that every relationship has an expiry date and our friendship had reached the said date.
